Meet the Doctor
Dr. Zach Benson
My Chiropractic Story
I worked for a contractor in high school who specialized in remodeling homes and thought I’d follow that career path myself. At the age of 16 I fell 12 feet and landed on a 2×4 severely injuring my spine.
For six months I went from doctor to doctor wearing a corset-like back brace and being heavily medicated. I was told surgery was my only choice but a friend helped me find another solution.
Looking for New Solutions
A friend encouraged me to visit her chiropractor. I had never been to a chiropractor but we had tried everything else and decided to give it a try.
After the first visit I felt like I could breathe again. After six months of pain and not being able to do anything physical, I was able to stand up straight and bend over. Within two weeks’ of chiropractic care I was back to running track again, with my fastest times ever.
That experience changed my life and I decided to pursue a career in chiropractic to help others the way I was helped.
I attended Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, TX, where I played on my school’s softball team. Luckily, when I dislocated my shoulder sliding into third base, I immediately received chiropractic care and was able to get back in the game.
